The march was very diverse. Among those standing up to the massive show of police intimidation at the protest were college students from UC Berkeley, people in suits who work in the downtown financial district, high school students from Berkeley High, Oakland Tech and School of the Arts. The Women’s Collective of the Day Labors Organization – spoke at the rally and brought a banner and contingent of immigrant women.
